The Portuguese Foreign Language Course for Academic Purposes is back in October

The next edition of the Portuguese Foreign Language Course for Academic Purposes is coming. Taking the first steps in academic writing and making the writing process more fluent are some of the goals of this course. Classes start in October and will take place during the 1st semester of the next academic year.

This course is designed, in particular, for Master’s students in Translation but students from any postgraduate course at FLUL will also be accepted, as long as there are available places.

To participate in this course, students need to have specific knowledge of  Portuguese to a proficiency level corresponding to B1. Students will be subject to an assessment test, to be carried out at the school on the 1st day of classes. Students will then be gathered into different sub-levels of the “Portuguese as a Foreign Language Course for Academic Purposes.”

At the end of this course, students are expected to be able to write academic texts, using the right linguistic structure and register.

Classes take place between October and January of the next school year and registration is open until October 3rd.
