Portuguese as a Second Language Course

Students who attend at least 75% of the classes and complete the mandatory assessment elements will receive an assessment at the end of the course which, if positive, will entitle the student to a final certificate. The certificate has a variable issuance period between 1 and 3 months, after the last day of the course.

Students who, having attended 75% of the classes, do not pass will be entitled to a declaration of participation (if requested).

It is the student's sole responsibility to keep their contacts updated on the platform so that the certificate can be sent. ICLP is not responsible for incomplete addresses, possible errors and/or losses.

Late arrivals of more than fifteen minutes or leaving more than 15 minutes before the end of class are recorded as absences. Cases in which students present a reasonable justification for the delay (force majeure) are protected. However, this exception is only applied to specific and non-recurring cases.

Late entry to the course will only be authorized until the end of the first week of classes. From that moment on, the student loses the right to attend the course.

If the course is canceled by ICLP, any amount paid by the student will be refunded in full.

If the student withdraws from the course, the fee paid is not refundable.

Transfer to another Course is not permitted.

All omitted cases will be submitted to the Pedagogical Coordination or ICLP Management and/or ADFLUL Management for consideration.

Students are insured by a school insurance policy that covers accidents within the Faculty of Arts or outside its premises, in compliance with activities related to class attendance. Policy No. 0110053247 – Tranquilidade Companhia de Seguros.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the rules in force and under the terms explained below.

Personal data anonymized and linguistic data may be used for institutional research purposes. Anonymized is all data that does not provide any possibility of identification, making association with a specific individual impossible.
