2nd SEMESTER: February 4th to May 29th, 2025

Withdrawal from the course

At the time of registration, the student must pay the full tuition fee, otherwise their registration will not be considered complete. This amount is non-refundable. If the course is canceled by ICLP, the amount paid by the student will be refunded in full.

Statement of Registration – Declaração de Inscrição - Once student has registered, the student may request a Statement of Registration. The Institute is not responsible for any process of Student VISA obtainment.

Scholarship

Language levels

This course is organized in sub-levels, corresponding to the Common Framework of Reference for Languages (QERC), from A1 to C2.
All courses require a minimum number of 8 participants and a maximum of 15.
Students are placed in the different language proficiency levels according to the results of an assessment test provided by ICLP, except for the students who have never formally studied portuguese. These students will be placed in A1 level. Students who have attended an ICLP course in the immediately preceding period or who present a CAPLE certification – Portuguese Language as a Foreign Language Assessment Center are exempt from this test.

Assessment and certificate

Students will be placed in one particular language level of the Evening Course by doing a placement test made in two steps: online and face-to-face (on the first day of classes). Given the syllabus of the course, all students have to do a placement test. Students will be exempt from this test if they have taken an ICLP course in the immediately preceding period or if they present a CAPLE – Centro de Avaliação de Português Língua Estrangeira certification.

Students who have obtained a passing grade will receive a Certificate with their grade and level of proficiency.

The remaining students will receive a Final Certificate of Participation (if required), provided they have attended 75% of the classes.

If they wish, students may take a CAPLE assessment and certification of competency exam, at LAPE-FLUL.
